Am I the only one who is glad that Ben R.(Pittsburgh Steelers QB) got slapped down today in game with Raiders?

I asked this question a while ago and made the mistake of using a word that many others use against myself and other Christians. Oh well, the point is Ben R. has several priors for ually abusing women. The NFL slapped him on the wrist with a four game suspension this year, and he has settled out of court a few times to avoid criminal charges. When he was slapped today his teammates just watched, instead of rushing to his aid. My question concerns whether or not we as a society has gotten to the point that we let these super athletes get away with crimes against people, but put them away for crimes against dogs(Michael Vick)?
