Does this sound like bronchitis?

Hi! I've had a cough for 12 days now. The Saturday and Sunday before I came down with this cough, I had been hanging out with my friend with bronchitis. I don't know if this has anything to do with it? Anyways, I usually cough up mucus and phlegm. After my coughing I feel super dizzy. I HAVE HAD BRONCHITIS BEFORE! So I know what it feels like. My parents will not give me medicine or take me to the doctor because they think it's "just a tickle in my throat". But I need to know whether this sounds like bronchitis or just a virus. Thanks!
