Would hoovering up a spider kill it or would it be ok and survive inside the bag??

It doesn't kill them, trust me. I am a complete phobic. Whenever I have hoovered them up with my Dyson I can see them still alive and moving (arggh) in the clear dust container. I always have to get my hubby to empty it outside.
