What is the difference between mitosis and meiosis?

Mitosis divides in normal cells like skin and what not. It devides the DNA and makes new organelles. This is used to replace dead cells. Meiosis is used to make cells. It divides twice so there is only 23 chromosomes so that it may come together to fertilize with the other cell. This has 4 cells as result as to the usual 2.
