Where do you live and what are the problems there that a newcomer may find difficult/dangerous?

If you think that there are no problems, think harder. It could be as simple as driving in snow/icy conditions, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, volcanoes, earthquakes, snakes, alligators, bugs, humidity, dry climate, desert, storms, economy, racist people, religion based violence, tsunamis, typhoons, no jobs, lack of sunny days, too much rain, too much cold etc.
