Does teaching evolution in school infringe on religious freedoms?

I asked another question, but it was alittle vague. I was saying that i feel my religious freedoms are being wiped out of society in a way..christians are forced to learn about evolution in school, but why cant they teach creationism alongside it, both are technically theories..so whats the harm?
